A 260-seat employee cafeteria for the Times Square headquarters of Conde Nast Publications, the project consists of a main dining room clad in curved blue titanium surrounding a central raised island inside curved glass walls. The 76 individual glass panels are 3/4" thick laminated safety glass that were slumped in custom-built kilns over a period of days to achieve compound curvature. The titanium walls are defined by geometrically developable surfaces and are micro-perforated for acoustic absorption.
