A vacation cabin in rural Humboldt County, CA. Four 20' x 20'
volumes housing living room, kitchen/dining room, porch, and
bedroom are arranged along a central circulation spine. The
cabin is a modern interpretation of the traditional "dogtrot"
arrangement, using vernacular building materials: reclaimed
barnwood siding and corrugated metal roof.
Design elements include double-height spaces, a fire-pole, a
converted cistern hot tub, and a secret room (not pictured).
